Sidenote - 3.19.08
Cease (3:23 PM) - It just occurred to me while watching this spring training game, that the main reason that MLB should not have that stupid base coach helmet rule, is because the players look too much like coaches at first glance. That is totally weird. The other reason obviously being that rule is fucking stupid to begin with.

I'll stick with the safety side of things.
Or you could not have the rule, and pay fucking attention. How many thousands of baseball games have been played sans death, and they go and fuck it up for everyone else because of one guy? Seriously.
even though craig mactavish is my favorite hockey player i vote for safety. BTW, i know you dont want to make a habit of reading Jay Mariottis columns but the comments are a great combo of vicious and hysterical.
